Meet Andrew Merelis
My passion for videography began at age nine when I first laid hands on a video camera. Instantly fascinated by the ability to capture the world on tape, I honed my skills by turning every school assignment into a video project. At this time, my mother, a local stage actress, used to share her archival performance videos with the family. Disheartened by the poor quality of these videos, I realized that I could combine my knowledge of video and theater to make a high quality two-camera video of any type of performance or presentation. I used this technique to make a successful and well-received video of my high school musical. When neighboring schools started calling me to videotape their productions, I knew I had found my niche. I founded Merelis Productions in 2002 while pursuing my BFA in Film and Television Production at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Today, I am proud to employ a team of talented New York City artists who share my passion and dedication to this rewarding work.
“Merelis Productions is by far the best video production team we have ever worked with in New York City. You get the highest quality from trained professionals. They offered us different pricing choices and worked with our school to determine the best option based on our needs. The final product is superbly impressive and rivals any Broadway show recording. Reliable. Hassle-free. Friendly.”
